Body piercings have been the object of much controversy — besides being an artistic expression and a celebration of one’s physical endowments. The belly ring is such a piece of jewelry.
In times of old, body piercings were treated differently, depending on the culture. As most body piercings had ritual or ceremonial value, many cultures prohibited specific types of body piercing that were purely for the sake of adornment. The warriors of old Central and South American civilizations sported body piercings, specifically in the nose area, in order to appear more intimidating to their enemies. On the other hand, lip piercings and decorations were meant to enhance attractiveness, especially among women of the day and age.
And while body piercings were more or less common in ancient Egypt, the ancient Egyptian pharaohs actually appropriated specific types of piercings. For example, no one BUT members of the royal family should wear a belly ring, on pain of death! Talk about the price of vanity.

Clothes make the man, or so the saying goes. There’s a certain amount of truth to that– the clothes you wear do make a statement. They tell people a little about the way you think and feel, and it’s definitely part of the first impression you make when you meet someone. If you wear all black, that says one thing; if you only wear bright colors, that says something else. So what if there were a way to make a conscious statement, a way to signal your faith in a trendy, cool way.
Well, now there is with Christian tee shirts! Christian tee shirts have come a long way in recent years and many really cool shirts are now available. Some of the coolest Christian tee shirts display actual verses from the Bible. There are also other great Christian tees that are based on Bible stories and events. The bottom line is that there are a variety of styles and colors of really neat Christian shirts to choose from today.
So now the question is, why would I want to get a Christian tee shirt? Probably the best thing about Christian tee shirts is that they’re a great way to show your faith, and get people talking. And that’s just what you want. After all, is there anything more important than sharing your love of Jesus Christ and how to get to Heaven with others?
FYI, Jesus Christ will not come again until the Gospel is spread to the ends of the world. Don’t take my word though, here’s what Jesus said to his disciples when they asked him if he was going to restore the kingdom to Israel, “It is not for you to know the time or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:7-8. One of the greatest mysteries of life is the effort and money put into the purchase of baby clothing.
Infants are not bothered about the quality of their outfits. They will cry anyway, even if they are kitted in a Versace shirt!
Even this will not deter the average parent, they will still go out of their way to buy expensive baby items, chief among which are baby shoes.
Parents buy all kinds of baby shoes for their tots. From baby sneakers to little ballet shoes, name it and some babies have them.
The strange fact is these purchases were made with the perfect knowledge that the infants are not going to run on a track or attend dancing classes.
Though, the function of baby shoes is slightly different from those of adult shoes, they still share some basic similarities.
They need to protect the fragile feet, and hold up to crawling around, and possibly a bit of drool.
And while adult shoes go through much more than this, the fact still is, almost any baby shoe will hold up just fine when the baby is not yet walking.
